The Business Lead - Recycling is responsible for directly managing a market-based sales team to achieve booking targets in the assigned market segment. The booking targets include all products from the MAAG portfolio that can be attributed to customers within the responsible market segment. The Business Lead and his/her team will maintain and own the customer relationships within their segment; besides meeting revenue and discounting targets (quantitative measurables) the business lead is also responsible for customer satisfaction (qualitative measurable).
The Business lead Recycling develops over time an in depth understanding of market drivers, customer needs and the value the MAAG Group can provide to his/her teams assigned segment. As a key stakeholder and customer representative within the MAAG Group for his/her segment he/she provides valuable input to the marketing (messaging), development, service and operations teams.
The business lead is expected to support change management, new sales processes, and sales tool development.
Position Description - Tasks, Responsibilities, Competencies
- Manages sales team to achieve top-line revenue and minimize discounting in assigned market segment
- Develop sales team through mentoring and value selling strategies, support sales tool development
- Manage the recycling sales team goals and cooperate across territories as required
- Identifying sales tools needs and contributing to the development plan and value statements with the Product Managers
- Business lead is a key stakeholder for the stage gate development process, business lead provides market and customers point of view for current and future developments to enhance our competitive position
- The business lead is a working team leader who maintains his/her own customer relationships and sells personally in addition to his/her team members
- Develop new customers and maintain valued relationships with existing clients
- Provides input in marketing/communication strategy as it pertains to the compounding market segment. Be an active contributor to marketing communications
- Core Competency: Hunting new leads and avenues for revenue growth, maintaining key relationships, protect and grow the aftermarket business as well as Cap-X business.
- Core Competency: Understanding the customer success model; identifying and working with decision-makers, leveraging existing customers for reference-selling

Education
Mandatory
- Bachelor’s or Associates degree
Desirable
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Process, Chemical)
- MBA in applicable field
Professional Experience
Mandatory
- 10 + years of Business Development or Selling experience within an industrial equipment environment
- Past demonstrated ability to achieve targets, preferably in selling equipment
Desirable
- Previous leadership position – leading a team
- Experience in plastics processing/plastics processing equipment selling

- Comfortable with new tools such as TEAMS, speaking in front of large audiences, and speaking with CEO's. The Business Lead's ability to present and represent company technologies in a wide variety of settings.
