We are seeking an experienced consultant with expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
- Engage with business stakeholders in Finance, Retail, Operations, and Warehouse/Distribution to understand their needs and collect detailed business requirements.
- Convert business requirements into Business Central solutions and processes.
- Perform gap analysis to pinpoint areas where current system configuration falls short of business needs.
- Create and document Business Central solutions that fulfill business requirements.
- Set up and configure Business Central modules to enhance business processes.
- Ensure that solutions are scalable, sustainable, and in line with industry best practices.
- Liaise with IT and business team members to ensure successful deployment and integration of Business Central solutions.
- Prepare project plans, schedules, and progress reports for stakeholders.
- Conduct Business Central System Testing and Quality Assurance (including regression testing for upgrades).
- Detect and address issues and defects during the testing phase.
- Collaborate with functional teams to provide training for end-users and IT staff on Business Central features and best practices.
- Offer ongoing support and troubleshooting for Business Central-related challenges.
- Keep up-to-date with new features, updates, and best practices in Business Central and associated technologies.
- Recognize opportunities for process and system enhancements.
- Travel 10% to various store locations.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS
- 4+ years as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central – experience in a Retail environment is highly desirable.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Dynamics 365 Business Central
- A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field
- Proficiency in requirements gathering, business analysis, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Experience with data management and relational databases.
- Experience with Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI) and SQL.
- Strong grasp of business processes and how they can be optimized using Business Central.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capability to troubleshoot complex issues.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in diverse team environments.
- Experience in providing end-user training and ongoing support for Business Central users.
- Ability to create training materials, guides, and documentation.
- Experience with data migration strategies, data mapping, and ensuring data integrity.
- Proficiency in developing reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
- Ability to translate technical jargon into business language for stakeholders.
- Familiarity with change management processes to ensure smooth adoption of system upgrades or new features.
- Understanding of core financial processes like accounts receivable/payable, general ledger, and financial reporting, especially in a Business Central context.
