As a Senior Capability Analyst, you will create cutting edge applications that support complex healthcare transactions. You will work closely with Optum product and engineering teams in India and the United States to design and develop enterprise scalable solutions.
You will be responsible for assisting in the design, development, and maintenance of web applications using the .NET framework and C# programming language. This role requires a basic understanding of web development principles, a willingness to learn, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment. The ideal candidate should be enthusiastic about gaining experience in web development and be eager to contribute to the development of efficient and scalable web solutions. Additionally, you will have the chance to expand your knowledge in the emerging field of Generative AI.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Design and develop product features and components in collaboration with business and IT stakeholders
- Software development using Visual Studio, .NET, C#, Python, SQL, MongoDB and other technologies
- Support cloud-based deployments using containers within Azure and/or AWS hosting environments
- Develop new user experiences using the newest web technologies including HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript frameworks, and Web Components
- Create architecture prototypes of new components and integration patterns using various protocols via JSON, SOAP, RESTful services/endpoints
- Support customer implementations and aid our product consultants in complex configurations
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in web development
- Conduct testing of web applications to identify and resolve functionality and usability issues
- Collaborate with team members to improve development processes and enhance code quality
- Assist in the integration of Generative AI technologies into our web applications

Required Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience developing in a collaborative software development environment
- 3+ years of experience with .NET, C#, Visual Studio and architecture/design tools
- 2+ years of experience working with HTML, CSS and JavaScript
- 1+ years of experience working with Microsoft SQL Server DDL and DML
- 1+ years of Agile development experience
- Ability to travel up to 25% as needed
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience building and deploying software programs to cloud vendors including Microsoft Azure and AWS
- Experience working with HTML 5, CSS 3, JavaScript frameworks, Python, and Web Components
- Insurance or Healthcare domain experience including front office/sales models or internal actuarial/underwriting models
- Proven solid communication and documentation skills
- Proven solid planning and organizational skills

Residents Only: The salary range for this role is $70,200 to $137,800 annually. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
