Job Title: Machine Operator I – LISEC - 2nd shift (3pm to 11:30pm)
Location: Richmond, VA - P2
JOB SUMMARY:
Machine Operator is responsible for operating LISEC automated PLC driven equipment to produce glass assembly. The operator is responsible for maintaining the equipment through daily, weekly, and as-needed preventive maintenance. The operator supports the equipment staff ensuring the product produced is to specification.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Sets up equipment for production with minimal supervision.
- Use of Manual and/or automated machinery.
- Writes and edit recipes as required.
- Checks the Quality of product produced throughout the day as required.
- Basic troubleshooting of equipment functions.
- Completes Preventative Maintenance tasks as required.
- Ability to multi-task with the operation of equipment and interactions with team members.
- Train new team members.
- Follows SOP (Standard Operating Procedures).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School High School diploma or GED, vocational machine shop training, community college or technical school certification program in a relevant field required.
- 1-2 years of automated machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
- Ability to perform basic computer skills.
- Good Math skills. Ability to read a tape measure. Understand fractions and decimals, and ability to convert fractions and decimals.
- Analytical reasoning/problem-solving skills required.
- Effective communication skills written and oral in English and Spanish (preferred).
- Analyzing basic diagrams and specs sheet print reading. Team-oriented individual, flexible, and adaptable to a continuous improvement environment. Basic multi-tasking abilities.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS: (The physical demands and work environment described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
- Must be able to lift/pull/push 50 lbs. up to 50 % of the shift.
- Must be able to stand/walk/bend/twist for prolonged periods of up to 10 hours/day as needed per production area.
- Ability to make repetitive motions on the machine up to 40 % of the shift

- Work is on the manufacturing floor interfacing with employees, and inspectors, monitoring, and supporting the team throughout the shift.
- Shop floor environment is not controlled. Temperatures vary and conditions may be hot or cold.
