Job Description
Universal Filmed Entertainment Group (UFEG) seeks a highly qualified candidate for the position of Senior Analyst, Strategy & Business Development. This position will support & manage strategic planning activities across UFEG. Specific projects will include research, analysis, financial modeling, and recommendations related to innovation strategy, internal business performance improvement, emerging industry trends and competitive threats. The position offers unique exposure to a wide variety of businesses within the media and entertainment industry.
The primary responsibilities of this position include the following:
- Supporting Vice President, Strategy & Business Development in building compelling business cases that clearly articulate the potential value and impact of strategic innovation initiatives to senior stakeholders
- This will include building executive presentations, creating & evaluating business frameworks, opportunity/market sizing, and identifying key opportunities and challenges around the execution and operationalization of various innovation use cases
- Support discussions with both Big Tech players and start-ups with commercial analysis and executive presentations that seek to convey the value of those partnerships.
- Actively contribute to cross-company initiatives, leveraging the film studio perspective to help prepare our organization for disruptive and transformational change

Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, business development or investment banking,
- Ability to interface effectively with multiple levels of management, ranging from senior corporate executives to business unit managers and third parties
- Superior strategic, financial and relationship skills.
- Strong knowledge of Excel modeling and PowerPoint
Desired Qualifications/Characteristics:
- Bachelor’s in science/arts degree
- Excellent quantitative and analytical skills, including significant financial modeling experience
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to author and deliver presentations
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under tight deadlines
- Prior investment banking and/or management consulting experience
- Solid interest and prior experience in the entertainment industry is strongly preferred

- Hybrid: This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
This position is eligible for company sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks.
