About the Opportunity
The AOI Operator performs inspection on PCB layers using an Automatic Optical Inspection Machine. The AOI Operator completes a variety of tasks to complete the inspection of inner and outer layer PCB boards including using a post-etch punch machine, inspecting circuits through a microscope, and using software programs to operate inspection machines.
What You'll Do:
- Operates and maintains the Automatic Optical Inspection Machine, VR and CDR Machine, including start-up, shutdown and performs basic, routine and preventive maintenance
- Inspects layers before and after processing through the AOI machine for layer count, handling damage, inspection parameters, etc.
- Processes inner layers of PCB panels through the Post-Etch Punch Machine
- Enters inspection parameters into AOI machine and processes
- Processes new jobs by importing CAM files from Genesis software, transferring them to the CDR machine and then to the AOI machine.
- Measures thickness of inner layers to verify with traveler
- Verifies layers for proper dot/detect application and visual non-conformances
- Verifies inspected layers to detect location, confirmation and definitions, inner layer reworks, and any defects
- Operates VR machine to inspect defects detected through AOI
- Conducts AOI system change overs
What You'll Bring:
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as standard operating procedures, instructions and safety rules in English to the degree necessary to perform the job
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent attendance and punctuality
- Ability to work overtime as required
- Proficient using a computer
- Detail-oriented and self-motivated
