Title: Director of Manufacturing
Position Type: Full Time
Pay Range: $150,000 - $281,000
(Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.)

Position Purpose: The Director of Manufacturing will oversee the Manufacturing Division of the company, ensuring effective and efficient use of facilities and staff.
Job Responsibilities:
- Oversees the manufacture of products, ensuring production, performance, and quality standards are consistently met.
- Review’s production reports to ensure safety, quality, financial, and delivery goals and standards are met.
- Ensures a healthy and safe working environment, and compliance with federal and state regulations, through collaboration with environmental, health, and safety staff.
- Oversees and participates in the recruitment, hiring, and training of manufacturing employees
- Oversees schedules and assignments for the division
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive
- Lead, assess, coach, and develop departmental leaders and staff
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy
- Assists Executive Director of Operations with long-range operating goals, expansion efforts, and implementation of new and advanced technology.
- Develop and monitor performance criteria to allow measurement and continuous improvement of manufacturing efficiency and quality, thereby ensuring on-time and error-free performance.
- Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of all manufacturing processes
- Identifies and shares training opportunities for staff to build and improve skills
- Organizes departmental management structure and teams for optimal, efficient operations
- Delivers progress and production reports to executive team members as requested
- Supervises equipment purchase, maintenance, and layout
- Other responsibilities as assigned
Required Qualifications/Education:
- 10 years of experience in a management role of an aerospace manufacturing
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field required; Master’s degree preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent organizational and managerial skills
- Thorough understanding of the policies and practices used in the manufacturing division
- Ability to set long-term goals and communicate them to to others
- Ability to motivate and organize multiple efforts to accomplish goals
- Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education
Working Conditions:
This job operates in a professional office environment, but in a manufacturing company. This role uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, scanners, filing cabinets and fax machines.
