Job Description:
Our client is seeking an experienced Microsoft Solutions Architect to assist in developing, deploying, and supporting Microsoft 365 (M365) solutions. This role involves working closely with IT teams and stakeholders to design and implement enterprise-level M365 solutions, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems and meeting the client’s specific business needs. The Microsoft Solutions Architect will leverage their expertise in Microsoft 365, Azure, and cloud-based technologies to drive the success of M365 initiatives, while also contributing to the management and optimization of the client’s IT infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- M365 Solution Design: Architect and implement Microsoft 365 solutions, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, and other M365 services, tailored to the client's operational and security requirements.
- Azure Solutions Architecture: Design and implement cloud-based solutions using Microsoft Azure, including identity management, cloud storage, and virtual networks, ensuring secure and scalable infrastructure.
- Migration & Integration: Lead the migration of on-premises systems and legacy applications to M365 and Azure, ensuring smooth transitions with minimal downtime and user disruption.
- Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with IT teams and department heads to understand the client’s requirements, translate business needs into technical solutions, and ensure the successful implementation of M365 services.
- Solution Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize M365 and Azure environments, ensuring peak performance, security, and compliance with government regulations.
- Project Management: Manage M365 and Azure projects, including scope definition, timelines, resource allocation, and stakeholder communication. Lead project teams, ensuring deliverables are met on time and within budget.
- Security & Compliance: Implement and manage security measures for M365 and Azure solutions, including identity and access management, data protection, and compliance with industry standards and governmental regulations.
- Documentation & Training: Create detailed technical documentation for M365 architectures, configurations, and processes. Provide training and knowledge transfer to internal IT teams and end-users to ensure adoption and effective use of M365 tools.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for M365 and Azure environments, addressing issues related to performance, configuration, and security.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Certifications: Microsoft 365 Enterprise Administrator, Azure Solutions Architect, or equivalent certifications (required).
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in designing, implementing, and managing Microsoft 365 and Azure solutions in an enterprise environment.
- Project Management: Proven experience managing large-scale IT projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within scope, budget, and timeline.
- Cloud Solutions Expertise: Deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 services (Exchange Online, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive, etc.) and Azure infrastructure (virtual machines, storage, networking, etc.).
- Security & Compliance Knowledge: Strong understanding of security and compliance best practices in cloud environments, including identity management, data protection, and governance policies.
- Technical Leadership: Experience leading technical teams and collaborating with cross-functional teams to design and deliver IT solutions.
- Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and create clear documentation.
Preferred:
- Advanced Certifications: Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals.
- Experience with Government Projects: Previous experience working on government projects and familiarity with regulatory requirements and security protocols.
- Experience with Hybrid Cloud Environments: Knowledge of integrating on-premises infrastructure with cloud-based solutions (M365, Azure).
- PowerShell Scripting: Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and configuration of M365 and Azure services.
