YOUR ROLE
Accountable for managing strategic, comprehensive, and complex IT programs focused on delivering value to the Business, structured program management in collaboration with key project stakeholders, cost improvements and operational efficiencies, from inception to delivery including planning, design, and execution; and assisting with implementation across multi-functional business units. Models and acts in accordance with our guiding principles and core values.
WHAT ARE YOU GOING TO DO?
Manage projects from inception through delivery ensuring completion of the project objectives on schedule and within budget constraints.
- Meet with key stakeholders to analyze feasibility of projects, critical success criteria, and develop ROI (return on investment) business justification.
- Develop detailed project charter and plan (goals, objectives, strategy, scope, budget, scheduling, risk mitigation strategies, contingency plans, approach, requirements, deliverables, timelines, work breakdown structures, use case, test case, and training needs) utilizing project management disciplines and methodologies including process analysis, mapping and flow charting to ensure synchronization of processes and systems.
- Engage key stakeholders, define and coordinate activities, communicate changes and progress, build commitment, overcome resistance, and lead project team.
- Provide expertise, leadership, guidance and supervision to cross-functional and/or multi-unit teams regarding forecasting, tracking and executing project related tasks, budgets, and resource allocations.
- Establish communication plan and conduct regularly scheduled project briefings regarding status, issues, and challenges with all levels of IT and the Business.
- Develop KPI (Key Performance Indicators) metrics.
- Partner with the business units/functions, sales and management to develop an implementation project plan and assist in the identification and establishment of an implementation team.
- Assist in the development of standard operating procedures and training of the implementation team and staff on requirements.
- Monitor performance metrics and measurements related to individuals, teams, processes, and projects.
- Conduct post-mortem assessment of project performance/success (both operational and financial).
WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR?
- Business acumen and solid knowledge of applications and implementing logistics technologies.
- Knowledge of MS Project, Word, Excel, Visio, etc.
- Able to manage self and team effectively in a dynamic, matrixed environment.
- Good knowledge of agile frameworks
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Excellent knowledge of scrum techniques and artifacts
- Able to perform technical analysis and produce effective business requirements documentation.
- Analytical skills enabling trouble-shooting on software and hardware.
- Capable of delivering written and graphical work products and presentation materials.
- Ability to effectively communicate to all project stakeholders on a regular basis.
- Positive and professional attitude in stressful environments
- Self-motivated, self-managed. Ability to successfully multi-task and establish appropriate priorities.
- Skilled in presenting technology solution to internal / external customers in formal or informal situations.
- May be required to provide on-call support. May be required to work abnormal hours.
- Must be able to read, write and speak English fluently. Fluency in the local language, if different from English.
Minimum:
o Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Computer Science or Business Administration or equivalent experience in logistics operations, such as distribution, transportation.
o 2+ years experience with Logistics applications such as Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or Transportation Management Systems (TMS)
o 2+ years experience with supply chain activities such as distribution, transportation.
o Knowledgeable in project management methodologies.
Preferred:
o Program or Project Management certification
o Logistics certifications or training
o Supervisory, management, or leadership certifications or training.
o Knowledge or experience in PM (project management) tools (e.g. Microsoft project), WMS (Red Prairie Discrete), TMS, FMS (Class, Worldport), Requirements tools (Caliber)
