Job Description US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED#LI-AP1We are looking to expand our team with a talented and energetic ground system engineer in support of operation of space vehicles and ground systems for commercial, DoD, and NASA customers. This position consists of working on a tightly integrated team in a fast-paced Agile environment to deliver continuous innovation to our customers.
The Engineering, Science and Analysis (ESA) Strategic Capabilities Unit comprises the technical talent and organizational leadership that enables the successful delivery of high-impact discriminating technologies for our customers’ missions. What You’ll Do: - Support design, development, integration and testing of ground systems.
- Contribute to effective producibility of designs over the program lifecycle using core systems engineering skills.
- Bring ingenuity and creativity to provide technical solutions and solve problems.
- Support the development of ground segment system engineering design.
- Understand and implementation solutions that meet requirements and use cases.
- Support program gates as defined by customer, such as the System Requirements Review (SRR), Preliminary Design Review (PDR) and Critical Design Review (CDR).
- Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.
- Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
- Perform other duties as necessary.
On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working
on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.
Working Conditions: - Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.
- May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.
- May access other facilities in various weather conditions.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills - BS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 4 or more years related experience.
- Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master’s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.
- A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.
- Exposure to related disciplines in software engineering, hardware engineering, integration, test engineering, quality engineering, configuration/data management.
- Exposure to systems engineering roles and functions, including operations concept development, requirements management, functional analysis, interface definition and control, synthesis, and/or verification and validation.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills - Any experience in the following areas:
- Mission management, command & control, mission data processing, ground terminal and infrastructure domains.
- Support of various test milestone such as Test Readiness Review (TRR), Factory or Site Acceptance Test (FAT/SAT); Security milestones like Interim Authority to Test (IATT), Authority to Operate (ATO); Ground sell off milestones like Ground Completion Review (GCR).
- Ground or mission integration including operations readiness activities, rehearsals and launch support activities.
- Experience with Agile software development methodologies and principles.
- Exposure to DevSecOps on principals.
- Exposure to cloud development.
- Exposure to Atlassian Tools such as Confluence and Jira.
Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $92290.000 - $156860.000

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
