The Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking an Experienced Industrial Security Specialist to join the Government Security group located in Seal Beach, CA.
The person selected for this position will act as the appointed Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO), properly accounting for all TS material and controlling all TS documents tracking the lifecycle from inception to disposition.
Position Responsibilities:
- Safeguarding classified information to include accountability, conducting annual inventories of accountable items, and handling of transmission and preparation of classified material.
- Conducts assigned Internal Security Controls through performance of compliance assessment reviews and self-inspections to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
- Identifies deficiencies and recommends corrective action
- Assists less experienced personnel with Internal Security Controls
- Conducts Administrative Inquiries on personnel, processes and situations in accordance with established operating procedures to determine level and scope of non-compliance with government and company regulations/requirements
- Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries
- Protects government, intellectual, third party and company information from unauthorized disclosures through development, implementation and administration of an Operational Security program, security education, procedures and physical controls to ensure compliance with government and company regulations/requirements on less complex programs
- Conducts security awareness training and education program (e.g., briefings, bulletins and visual reminders) to educate, refresh, and motivate personnel to protect people, property and information
- Performs Physical Security duties and responsibilities within Boeing facilities (e.g., complete fixed/closed facility checklists/survey areas, review and approve facility drawings for new or remodeled classified areas) to ensure compliance with company and government regulations/requirements
- Performs Sub-Contractor Management (e.g., providing contractual requirements and direction, site assistance visits and reviews) to ensure compliance with government regulations/requirements
- Participates, as requested, on enterprise Integrated Product Team (IPT) sub or task teams
- Assists less experienced personnel with Administrative Inquiries
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
- 1+ years of experience with safeguarding classified information to include accountability, conducting annual inventories of accountable items, and handling of transmission and preparation of classified material.
- 1+ years of experience in Industrial Security
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
- Bachelor's degree or higher
- Experience working in a classified environment
- Previous experience as a Top Secret Control Officer (TSCO)
- Experience working with the National Industrial Security Procedures and Operations Manual (NISPOM)
Typical Education & Experience:
Bachelor's and typically 6 or more years’ related work experience, a Master’s degree and typically 4 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Relocation:

Summary pay range: USD $88,200 - $112,700
