The opportunity
We are seeking an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Mechanicalto join our Maintenance Repair and Overhaul (MRO) Services team, supporting Depot Maintenance for the E7A - Wedgetail Program at Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Base Amberley, South East Queensland.
As a BDA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining aircraft systems and performing depot servicing requirements. This will include undertaking aircraft progressive trade activities in support of Product Support Training & Maintenance (PST&M) - MRO Services Capability. Tasking may include system modification, manufacture and/or assembly activities for aircraft and aircraft component maintenance
Responsibilities:
- Maintain individual qualifications and certifications associated with B1 AME Licence IAW the applicable Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE)
- Ensuring that all maintenance activities are incorporated IAW approved processes and procedures
- Provide guidance and instructions to assist in the development of subordinate technical staff
- Completion of assigned tasks by undertaking a variety of trade level activities, requiring the application of post-trade qualifications and/or experience in the relevant trade category in accordance with the appropriate documentation (maintenance manuals, planning documents, engineering drawings, etc.).
Experience/Qualifications
- Hold a Certificate IV in Aeroskills (Mechanical) - Essential
- Suitability to obtain DASR Part 66 Military Aircraft Maintenance Licence (MAML)
- Be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of aviation Quality Assurance (QA) procedures and the DASR 145 aircraft maintenance regulatory framework
- Hold or be able to obtain a Defence Security Clearance of Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) - Essential
- Meet the security requirements of the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITARS) - Essential
- Hold a C class driver's licence - Essential
- Be able to demonstrate a progressive knowledge of Work Health and Safety (WHS) practices
- Prior maintenance experience in 737NG or derivative aircraft - Desirable
- Previous aircraft depot maintenance experience - Desirable
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements.
