How will you make an impact?
In this role, you will support the Cloud Services team with shipping and logistics in Austin, TX. The Logistics Specialist will be responsible for managing and coordinating international and domestic shipping operations, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements, and handling Importer of Record (IOR) responsibilities. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong organizational skills and a deep understanding of global logistics and customs regulations.

What will you do?
- Coordinate and oversee shipments from origin to destination, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery.
- Work closely with Serve as the Importer of Record (IOR) partner setting up orders for shipments and ensuring compliance with all import regulations and requirements.
- Prepare and review shipping documentation, including bills of lading, commercial invoices, and packing lists.
- Liaise with customs brokers, freight forwarders, and other third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth and efficient customs clearance.
- Monitor and track shipments, providing regular updates to internal and external stakeholders.
- Resolve any issues or delays in the shipping process, working proactively to prevent future occurrences.
- Maintain accurate records of all shipments and related documentation.
- Stay up to date with changes in international shipping regulations and best practices.
- Collaborate with other departments to optimize logistics processes and improve overall supply chain efficiency.
- Ensures the freight billing invoices are correctly charged.
- Ensures all the insurance claims on cargo damage or missing are closed accordingly.
- In the case of international shipments, interacts with customs, customs brokers, and other agencies regarding the flow of material as well as duties and charges levied.
How will you get here?
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field preferred
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience with domestic and international logistics and shipping.
- In-depth knowledge of import/export regulations and customs procedures.
- Experience with Importer of Record (IOR) responsibilities.
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
