Reporting to the Director (PL) within Third Party Risk Management, the ideal candidate will perform and lead third-party lifecycle oversight and standard adherence activities. Those responsibilities include effective communication and coordination between first- and second-line key stakeholders, complex activities such as risk scenario analysis, concentration risk monitoring, Critical vendor exit strategy oversight, third-party control environment assessments, and ongoing governance adherence monitoring of the TPRM Policy and related Standard. This position requires working with and leveraging other professional groups and partners such as Corporate Risk Management teams, Vendor Management, business line contract owners, among others. This job description sets forth the initial expectations and responsibilities for the role, and that employee may also be asked to participate in or support various other risk management objectives and activities across or related to TPRM. This is an individual contributor role with no direct reports.
As a Senior Manager, TPRM, your responsibilities may include, but will not be limited to, the following activities:
- Performing adherence monitoring of processes and controls to confirm risk management activities with alignment to the TPRM Policy, related Standard, and supporting Procedures
- Assessing processes and controls to identify effectiveness of risk management and provide guidance on improvements.
- Determine the appropriate and most efficient course of action and communication required to resolve issues while meeting the TPRM Standard requirements in ad hoc scenarios
- Identifying opportunities to simplify and improve efficiency and effectiveness by implementing enhancements across a program
- Providing consultation support to risk review teams, vendor management, vendor contacts and other key stakeholders
- Practicing continuous self-improvement through learning opportunities, higher education, mentorship programs and industry groups
- Maintaining subject matter expertise related to third-party risk management regulatory guidance such as the FRB’s SR 23-4
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- A minimum of 5-7 years of experience supporting compliance and/or risk management activities in financial services
- Solid understanding of the risk management technologies and their alignment with broader Risk and Regulatory strategy
- Outstanding analytical and research skills
- Fully proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel Skills
- Strong presentation and communication skills
- Passion for learning and seeing others grow and develop
- Demonstrated ability to identify and solve complex issues in a team environment working with various levels of management and business partners
- BA/BS degree required
