Senior Finance Manager, Corporate FP&A
Your Impact:
The principle purpose of this role is to coordinate and develop our long-term financial targets, inclusive on managing the Strategic Planning Process and Annual Operating Plan. In addition, this role is responsible for the Financial Planning & Analysis of Store Support Center expenses. This includes cross functional partnership with various areas of the organization inclusive of Merchandising, Supply Chain, Store Operations, and Shared Services to develop consolidated financial plans, strategic initiative measurement, and productivity initiative scorecards. In addition, this role will involve modeling of various long-term financial scenarios.
What you will do:
- Manages a team of financial analysts who provide support for the planning and forecast processes to ensure best practices are implemented and accurate insights are shared for decision making.
- Partners with senior finance leadership (SVPs & VPs) to provide financial insights, recommendations, and best practices to help the company make effective resource allocation decisions.
- Prepares and communicates certain deliverables to senior management and the Board of Directors relating to the portfolio, guardrails, long-range plan and annual operating plan, linking strategy and intent to financial outcomes and measures of success.
- Researches issues as identified, reports findings, suggests alternative courses of action, and constantly look for process improvements.
- Guides the business units through the financial planning and forecasting processes, leveraging the appropriate data elements for markets and for the industry to support the evaluation of strategic options and alternatives.
- Coordinates with other areas of Finance to ensure projected financial outcomes resulting from business plans are properly planned and forecasted.
- Responsible for selecting, hiring, and developing talent to ensure a productive and engaged workforce.
- Oversees the building of processes and enterprise score-carding to continuously measure the overall health of Lowe's financial portfolio.
- Supports the development of the long-range plan (LRP) for the enterprise, containing the aggregation of business unit plans and modeling for “what if scenario analyses at the enterprise.
- Manages the Store Support Center (SSC) Forecast process for the enterprise, including Financial Planning & Analysis
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field
- 7 years of experience in finance or analytical role
- 2 years of experience in strategic and financial modeling
- 3 years of experience leading people directly or indirectly
- Experience with Microsoft Office tools (e.g., Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
Preferred Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in financial analysis, accounting, financial modeling and strategy consulting for business
- Experience performing advanced data modeling, data mining and exploratory data analysis (e.g., linear/logistic regression, ARIMA, Cluster Analysis)
- Experience leading cross-functionally on enterprise initiatives
- Experience working in a big box/large retailer
- Experience working at a Fortune 500 company
- CPA, CFA, CMA certification
