SUMMARY
The Information Architect focuses on taking architecture domain outputs, gap assessment and migration plan as developed by the enterprise architects and develops a set of implementation plans that cross several application areas. The architect continuously accounts for the alignment between enterprise architecture strategy and active projects / short-term change initiatives across parallel development teams.
The position requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. The position works closely with the enterprise architects to understand and influence enterprise data strategy, implement Target State Architecture (TSA) for data management tools and processes as well as make recommendations and improve existing processes.
The position also coaches technical staff and guides work process development and technical development to maintain alignment and promote “best practices” across technical teams within the data management and analytics domain.
The individual in this position serves as a technical leader across all aspects of data management and architecture supporting data and analytics teams across the enterprise. Providing guidance and recommendations on the following: data pipeline processes, orchestration, SQL excellence, development of logical and physical data models, data security and security auditing, and Dev/DataOps best practices.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Participate/lead selection and evaluation of new tools & methodologies (DevOps, data modeling, etc.)
- Responsible to oversee the ‘bigger picture’ of building and maintaining data pipelines that collect, manage, and convert raw data into usable information
- Participate in and conduct code reviews, pull request reviews, etc. utilizing SQL & data mgmt. best practices
- Proactively assess business & IT processes and technologies to meet business needs and actively identify continuous improvement opportunities
- Seek out and partner with SME’s (and business partners when needed) to design/develop new solutions
- Present and explain complex technical concepts and methodologies to non-technical business partners
- Analyze gathered information to evaluate the effectiveness of controls, efficiency and security of operations including audits and presentations of findings
- Engage in business analysis, information acquisition analysis and design, data access analysis and design, archive and recovery strategy, security and change management
- Write and maintain documentation of processes and standards
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, MIS, or related field) or relevant work experience equivalent
- Advanced SQL Knowledge, tuning and optimization as well as data platform administration
- Minimum of 7 years experience building and optimizing full lifecycle, large, complex, data pipelines, architectures, and datasets with a focus on scalability
- Proficient knowledge in data modeling theory, concepts, processes, and tools
- Strong conceptual and communication skills in context of translating business needs into technical solutions
- Experience with modern data architectures on enterprise commercial clouds

In 2024, Andersen has set a profit-sharing target of $4,000 per eligible employee, prorated as appropriate. Profit sharing will be paid out in quarterly installments to provide eligible employees with payments throughout the year, with payment amounts tied to quarterly operating profit performance.
