Role Overview:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Data Governance Intern to support the adoption and communication of data governance principles and initiatives across the organization. This role will focus on change management efforts, including defining and implementing data governance use cases and fostering engagement across cross-functional teams.
Key Responsibilities:
Change Management:
- Assist in developing strategies to drive adoption of data governance concepts and frameworks.
- Support the implementation of key data governance use cases by engaging with stakeholders to gather requirements and track progress.
- Identify challenges in adoption and recommend actionable solutions to enhance collaboration.
Communication and Training:
- Design and deliver communication materials, including presentations, newsletters, and updates, to inform stakeholders about ongoing initiatives and best practices.
- Coordinate workshops, training sessions, and meetings to educate teams on data governance principles.
- Act as a liaison between technical teams, business units, and leadership to ensure alignment and understanding.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Currently a Junior or Senior pursuing a degree in Data Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Interest in data governance, change management, or cross-functional collaboration.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) or Google Workspace.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail.
Preferred:
- Familiarity with data governance tools, frameworks, or methodologies.
- Experience in project management or stakeholder engagement.
- Basic understanding of data analytics or data management principles.
