Project Controls Manager

KBR is looking for a Project Controls Manager to oversee a project’s, cost controls, change management, risk management, earned value, scheduling efforts the delivery of functional objectives by providing leadership & direction to team members.  The Project Controls Manager will drive effective execution of project control functions on various capital projects. 

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate project health status & maintain effective communications with project leadership on project status

  • Ensure that project controls systems & processes are implemented & continue to deliver accurate project status

  • Assess project contracts & commercial terms to ensure that the project controls processes are aligned to address any specific needs

  • Review & audit cost, progress & schedule reports prepared for project controls

  • Coordinate with client, subcontractors, & joint venture partners on data integration & reporting

  • Review & audit cost, progress, & schedule project controls reports

Required Education, Experience, & Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in project management, project controls, engineering, industrial engineering, or related field

  • 12 + years in project controls

  • 4 + years of management experience with capacity to coach, mentor, & share best practices

  • Proven ability with project health assessments, P6 & scheduling techniques, budget development, cost analysis, forecasting & variance reporting techniques

  • Must be able to manage analytical & data centric project controls

  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills including reporting through Power BI

  • Must be able to self-lead & communicate to all levels of project team including management & clients

Preferred Certification:

Active Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification

AACE Certification

Interest & ability to achieve these certifications beneficial
