What does a successful Quality Assurance Engineer do at Fiserv?
As part of the Payments Optimization team supporting Merchant Services, you will drive mission-critical platforms that support our payments acquiring business. By driving automation of initial manual scripting, performance testing, testing tools support, and reporting of test metrics, we ensure the delivery of quality software applications from enterprise use to global end users.
What you will do:
- Perform functional and regression testing of our Acquiring Front End products, independently and with senior management and technical groups globally
- Develop and execute formal test plans to ensure the delivery of quality software applications
- Lead and participate in test planning and quality review sessions
- Oversee the writing of test cases/scripts; testing may include application, network, system, regression, and user acceptance testing
- Participate in daily calls as needed for appropriate hand on testing
- Perform testing activities to include planning, design, scripting, execution, debugging and reporting tasks
- Monitor and execute automation test activities for large-scale projects
- Perform post-test execution activities, including error debugging, reporting needs, and internal and external communication
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of hands-on technical quality assurance experience
- 3+ years of experience with information systems elements (hardware, software, and network) in relation to business functions and processes
- 3+ years of experience working in the full Software Development Life Cycle with methodologies such as Agile or Scrum
- 3+ years of experience testing APIs and RESTful/JSON webservices
- 3+ years of test automation experience using tools such as JMeter, Selenium WebDriver, and TOSCA
- 3+ years of experience with Microsoft Office and Oracle DB (or similar database)
- Current Fiserv platform experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Experience with payment processing applications for merchants, including
- authorizations, clearing, and settlement systems
- Experience with payment processing applications for financial institutions, specifically for debit cards, loans and/or credit card systems
- Experience in financial services with high-volume, large-scale processing and reporting
