Overview
We are seeking a results-driven and client-focused Janitorial Account Manager to oversee and manage key accounts within our janitorial services division. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining strong client relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, and coordinating the delivery of cleaning services. This role requires exceptional communication skills, strong organizational abilities, and a keen understanding of the janitorial industry.
Pay: $60,000.00/yr
The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on the applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.
401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.

Key Responsibilities:
- Client Relationship Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, addressing their needs, concerns, and requests promptly and effectively.
- Account Management: Oversee and manage all aspects of assigned client accounts, ensuring that services are delivered according to client expectations and contract terms.
- Service Coordination: Collaborate with operations teams to schedule and oversee cleaning services, ensuring that all tasks are completed to the highest standards of quality and efficiency.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct regular site visits and inspections to monitor service quality, identify areas for improvement, and ensure compliance with company standards and client requirements.
- Contract Management: Negotiate, renew, and manage service contracts, ensuring that all terms are met and that any changes or amendments are communicated effectively to all parties involved.
- Budgeting and Cost Control: Manage account budgets, track expenses, and ensure that services are delivered within the agreed financial parameters.
- Reporting: Prepare and deliver regular reports on account performance, service quality, and client satisfaction to both clients and company management.
- Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any service issues or client complaints promptly, ensuring a positive outcome for both the client and the company.
- Team Coordination: Work closely with janitorial staff and supervisors to ensure they are well-informed about client expectations and are equipped to meet those expectations.
- Business Development: Identify opportunities to expand services within existing accounts and support the acquisition of new accounts by providing excellent service and fostering strong client relationships.
- Training and Development: Assist in training janitorial staff on client-specific needs and expectations, ensuring that all team members are well-prepared to deliver exceptional service.
Qualifications:
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; a bachelor’s degree in business administration, management, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience: Proven experience as an account manager, preferably within the janitorial or facilities management industry.
- Skills: Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills; excellent organizational and multitasking abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of janitorial services, cleaning products, and industry standards; familiarity with contract management and budgeting.
- Customer Service: A commitment to delivering outstanding customer service and maintaining positive client relationships.
- Problem-Solving: Ability to address and resolve client issues quickly and effectively, with a focus on maintaining client satisfaction.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including occasional evenings or weekends, to meet client needs.
Work Environment:
- Location: Primarily office-based with frequent travel to client sites.
- Physical Demands: May involve walking or standing for extended periods during site visits.
