ABM is hiring a Baggage Agent at our T. F. Green Airport.
FULL TIME AVAILABLE
- May be scheduled for weekends and holidays when needed
- Time and a half on Sunday’s and observed holidays
Salary - $16.15/ per hour
- The pay listed is the hourly range or the hourly rate for this position. A specific offer will vary based on applicant’s experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, and alignment with market data.

General Responsibilities:
Meet and greet arriving passengers in the claim area, aid and offer information to individuals meeting arriving passengers. Aiding all customers with baggage issues, including lost articles, lost and damages and pilfered luggage.
Specific Duties / Essential Job Functions: (Other duties may be assigned.)

Make baggage arrival announcements when customers arrive in the claim area providing information and instructions. Log each flight as bags are delivered to the claim area. Updates records with later arriving bag information.
Monitor the delivery of baggage and handle irregularities associated with the internal baggage process.
Initiates files for lost damage and pilfered baggage. Update files with information pertinent to the claim. Provides appropriate airport information as required.
Monitors damage claims.
Coordinate the return of lost and / or damaged luggage to customers. Prepare bag delivery orders and arrange for delivery by using bag delivery services or other available means.
Process and secure unclaimed luggage, update files and create a on hand record in net tracer or with the scanner Coordinate on handbags, update file request, contact passenger regarding unclaimed baggage.
Coordinate with ramp services regarding bag deliveries, missing bags. Update records with late arriving bag information.
Monitor baggage delivery and complete baggage quality checklist
Must be familiar with all FAA/ Airline/ Company regulations.
Keep leadership informed of needs and problems in assigned area, maintain cleanliness of immediate work area and report maintenance needs.
Project a positive image and respond to inquiries from clients, staffs, and public in a courteous manner.
Able to work by yourself.
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with passengers, co-workers, shift coordinators, supervisors, managers, etc.
Comply with all safety, security, compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company, Clients, and regulatory authorities.
Must work schedule as assigned.
Miscellaneous duties as assigned.

Language Skills:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.

General Company Requirements:
Employee must comply with the Company's uniform and grooming standards and must always wear his or her SIDA badge/Airport ID.
Employee must comply with all guidelines and policies set forth in the ABM Team Member National Handbook.
Experience:
Previous customer service experience preferred.
Computer experience a must
Must have reliable transportation.
Overall:
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Must meet all requirements to receive required airport SIDA badge and Customs Seal (if applicable)
