Role Summary:
The Leadership Development Coach and Facilitator is responsible for providing one-on-one leadership coaching and facilitating courses aimed at developing leadership skills in support of APi’s purpose of Building Great Leaders. The role involves working closely with high-potentials and senior leaders to help them enhance their personal leadership abilities, achieve their developmental goals, and increase overall organizational effectiveness.
Primary Responsibilities:
Leadership / Executive Coaching:
- Provide one-on-one leadership coaching internally within our immersive leadership development programs
- Provide additional individual coaching across the organization as requested and approved.
- Assist with Accelerated Readiness Program (ARP) module planning, review and facilitation.
- Utilize various coaching methodologies and assessment tools (DISC, Values, EQi 2.0) to support personal leadership goals.
- Assist in developing and executing individualized development plans.
Course Facilitation:
- Facilitate in-person courses and programs on leadership, communication, team dynamics, and other relevant topics at the New Brighton APi campus as well as its North American operating companies.
- Promote and deepen understanding of our Building Great Leaders purpose at all layers of the organization.
- Assess the effectiveness and impact of leadership development programs and make necessary adjustments.
Other Responsibilities (to include but not limited to):
- Administer assessments, conduct interviews and create written reports for APi rotational program participants
- Manage the “Leaders as Coaches” program and administrative platform to support engagement and accreditation of internal coaches
- Maintain accurate records of coaching and development activities
- Active and supportive Leadership Development team members
Qualifications:
Educational Background:
- Bachelor's degree in Leadership, Organizational Development, Business, Psychology, or related field
- Coaching certification (e.g., ICF or other certification) required.
Experience:
- 15+ years business related experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
- Minimum of 3-5 years experience in executive or business leadership coaching
- Proven track record of successful course facilitation
- Demonstrated experience working with organizational high potentials and senior leaders
Skills:
- Strong understanding of leadership principles and executive development
- Exceptional leadership development facilitation skills. Facilitation skills should reflect adult learning principles, foster inclusion, and inspire learning.
- Exceptional presentation, written, verbal and listening communication skills
- Ability to build trust and rapport within coaching relationships and with other organizational stakeholders
- Strong commitment to continuous learning and development
- Certification in DISC and Emotional Intelligence assessments a strong plus
- Certification in 7Habits, Situational Leadership, or Inside Out Coaching a strong plus
Employment Type:
Full-time position to be located on the main New Brighton campus
Willingness to travel approximately 20% of the time to facilitate regional courses
Benefits and Compensation:
This role will be based out of our New Brighton office. The salary range is $103,500 - $155,800, depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This position is eligible for annual bonus and profit sharing based on company performance in addition to other benefits that support the total well-being of you and your family.
