The opportunity
Product Support Training and Maintenance (PSTM) Training Capability Team is seeking an experienced Training Designer/Curriculum Developer/Instructional Designer to support the AH-64 Apache program.
The positions will be based in Oakey Queensland, and attendance is mandatory.
As a BDA Training Designer/Developer, you will provide the full spectrum of training support for our current and emerging customer training programs.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct training needs analysis to identify customer training requirements
- Design, develop, facilitate and evaluate technical training materials for program customers
- Develop and design courses, curriculum and training / instructional materials (including learning objectives, assessment criteria, instructor guides, student handouts, etc.)
- Collaborate with subject experts to develop course content
- Develop innovative, relevant and engaging training solutions
- Evaluate and update training materials in response to feedback and continuous improvement initiatives
- Support training delivery
- Effective engagement with customer representatives and subject matter experts
Experience/Qualifications
Essential:
- Ability to obtain a NV1 Defence Security Clearance
- Demonstrated experience in the analysis, design, development and evaluation of training (experience in complex Training Needs Analysis)
- Experience in Training Design /Curriculum Development/Learning Development
- Strong technical skill and a high level of proficiency in digital media learning e.g. Articulate Storyline and the full suite of Adobe Creative Cloud software applications
- Strong understanding of the Systems Approach to Defence Learning (SADL) or a Defence Training background
- Ability to communicate effectively within a creative team environment and with technical Subject Matter Experts
- Exceptional time management, communication and consultation skills
- Ability to work under limited supervision in a fast-paced environment
- Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements
Desirable:
- Understanding of Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) requirements
- TAE40116 Certificate IV - Training and Assessment (desirable)
- High attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills
