ABM, a leading provider of integrated facility solutions, is looking for a mechanic to complete assigned preventive maintenance and reactive maintenance repairs on transmissions, engines, and accessory components.

401(k) – You become eligible to make personal contributions beginning the first of the month following 30 days of employment. You become eligible for the ABM match beginning the first of the month following six months of employment. ABM matches your pre-tax and/or Roth contributions, dollar for dollar, for the first 3%. For the next 2%, ABM contributes $0.50 for each dollar you contribute. Your contributions and match are immediately vested.
Essential Functions / Process Responsibilities include the following: other duties may be assigned as necessary:
- Perform diagnosis and repair of any bus
- Repair and rebuild engines
- Repair transmissions, driveline, and differentials
- Perform repairs to engine accessory components
- Perform tune-ups using established procedures
- Repair steering, suspensions, brake systems, frame, axles, electrical, hydraulic, and A/C repairs, fuel systems.
- Road test vehicles to ensure the quality of work performed
- Complete all other duties assigned.
Minimum Requirements *
- High School Diploma or GED Required
- Minimum 3 year of mechanic experience on gasoline engines or Trade School
- Welding experience/body fabrication preferred.
- Strong Diagnostics and preventative maintenance
- Satisfy all Department of Transportation requirements
- Good ethics and integrity with high attention to detail
- Class B CDL with a Passenger endorsement (can be obtained within 90 days)
- Must pass pre-employment physical, driving record review, criminal background review, and drug and alcohol pre-employment test
- Ability to communicate in writing and verbally
- Must complete the training path established by the Maintenance Director in a reasonable time frame.
