The Integrated Airborne Solutions at Leidos has an opening for an IT System Engineer who is an ISR Sensor SME to work at our Bridgewater, VA office. Your work will be crucial to the success of our Defense customers and will work collaboratively with a team of people from across multiple organizations and the company.
Primary Responsibilities
Provide technical expertise in interpreting, implementing, and documenting government technical requirements and compliance.
Support the development and implementation of complex engineering designs to integrate, demonstrate, test and assess emerging technology capabilities and warfighter solutions.
Interface with Government personnel to identify required activities, perform collaborative planning, review deliverables and resolve SE issues.
Work closely with the chief engineer, electrical, signal processing, mechanical, thermal and test engineers on key tasks.
Technical management and execution of engineering activities requirements analysis, Implementation planning, third party coordination, integration and test, documentation, deployment, and system assessment
Employ MBSE approach for systems planning, design, execution, and operations.
Define processes for technical platforms, system specifications, interfaces and working parameters for hardware and/or software compatibility; generate processes, trade studies, and related system requirements.
Develop and maintain systems engineering documentation and diagrams/models through use of MBSE tool
Create meaningful entry/exit criteria for all technical reviews, and advocate for appropriate review artifacts, activities, documentation and stakeholder participation.
Effectively communicate hardware and software issues with customers and end users to include leading customer and vendor meetings.
Effectively track and document hardware and software across multiple locations and programs.
Design and engineer program environments, enclaves, and networks.
Create documentation on new technologies, how to implement updates and/or enclave expansions.
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 4 - 8 years of prior relevant experience with ISR sensor technology involving one of the following systems: SIGINT/ELINT/COMINT/Radar. Additional 4 years of experience may be used in lieu of a degree.
Experience developing test plans, evaluating test results, performing analysis, writing technical reports, and writing trade studies.
Experience supporting military or related systems planning and implementation.
Capability of writing at the collegiate level and capability in the use of word processing and presentation software as required.
Security+ certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment.
A second additional professional certification must be obtained within the first 6 months of employment. i.e. Cisco, VMware, Microsoft.
Strong desire to grow and learn new technologies.
Be willing to relocate to our Bridgewater, VA office.
Be able to obtain a passport and visa to travel internationally.
Be willing to travel to remote sites to include some “hazardous and hardship” locations.
Must be a US Citizen.
Active Secret clearance and ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience leading technical proposals or participating in business development strategy.
Strong understanding and experience with ISR Sensor systems and platform integration.
Professional certifications i.e. Cisco, VMware, Microsoft, CompTIA.

Pay Range:
Pay Range $85,150.00 - $153,925.00
The Leidos pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary.
