Summary of Position:
We are seeking a Senior Level Engineer with extensive experience in diverse IT platforms. The ideal candidate will be adept at designing and implementing sophisticated solutions that exceed standard configurations. Emphasizing a secure, high-performance end-user experience, the role requires expertise in utilizing specialized tools and advanced features uncommon in typical setups. As a Sr. Network Engineer specializing in Microsoft networks, VMWare, and storage systems, your role would involve designing, implementing, and maintaining complex network infrastructures. Skills should include, Microsoft Networks, Physical Networks, Virtual Server and Desktop environments, Storage Area Networks, Security Applications, Rapid recovery disaster recovery solutions, Alerting, Monitoring and reporting tools used for predictive analysis, downtime avoidance and rapid recovery.
Core Job Functions:
Network Infrastructure:
- Design, configure, and manage Microsoft-based networks, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Implement network segmentation, VLANs, and routing protocols.
- Collaborate with system administrators to integrate network services.
VMWare Expertise:
- Deploy and manage VMWare vSphere environments.
- Optimize virtualization performance, resource allocation, and high availability.
- Troubleshoot VMWare-related issues.
Storage Systems:
- Administer storage solutions (SAN, NAS) from vendors like EMC, NetApp, or HPE.
- Configure RAID arrays, LUNs, and storage pools.
- Monitor storage performance and capacity.
Security and Compliance:
- Implement network security measures (firewalls, IPS/IDS, access controls).
- Ensure compliance with industry standards (HIPAA, PCI DSS).
- Conduct vulnerability assessments.
Disaster Recovery and Backup:
- Design and test disaster recovery plans.
- Set up data backups and replication.
- Restore systems in case of failures.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate network diagrams, configurations, and documentation.
- Generate performance reports and capacity planning analyses.

Required Education, Training, Experience, and Continued Education
- Formal or industry education in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience a plus
- Minimum of 10 – 12 years of experience related to IT Management or other information technology solutions architecture role
- Demonstrated ability to communicate the complexities of technical programs
- Outlook, Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint and SharePoint or similar software
- Experience working in the IT Services/MSP field a plus
- Experience working for a Managed Service Provider with a focus on security a plus
- Continued Education as advised by Supervisor
Preferred Education, Training, and/or Experience
- Formal or industry education in computer science, Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience a plus

- Must be physically able to climb ladders, bend or crawl into awkward spaces

Hours of Work
- Full-time Monday through Friday during normal office hours. After hours as required by customer agreements or SLAs.
