Scrum Master

As a Scrum Master, you’re passionate about outcomes and supporting a development team that’s creating efficiency in critical projects. You know the importance of Agile best practices and how to combat challenges early to get work done.
On our team, you’ll apply your functional knowledge to coach a development team to focus on sprint goals, ensuring the project is successfully progressed. You’ll apply basic scrum principles and concepts to resolve routine problems. Using tools like Jira and Confluence, you’ll strengthen sustainable process improvements to help your team accomplish sprint planning, sprint reviews, and sprint retrospectives.
You must possess an in-depth understanding of Agile methodologies and the ability to facilitate the implementation of Agile best practices. You will drive teams to execute on a delivery timeline and align work from the task level to a strategic level. Using your skills, you'll work with each team to make sure status updates and new work is being captured and prioritized along with progressing to a higher agile maturity. You'll have the ability to pull information together to provide targeted briefings or reporting up to the client level and ability to convey value added by agile processes. You'll institute and facilitate agile ceremonies so that adherence is sustainable. You'll be working to help teams identify blockers and escalate appropriately. You'll assist in increasing cross-collaboration between different teams for visibility and tracking of dependencies. You'll maintain organized work flows, be oriented, and be able to work in a fast-paced environment.

You Have:
2+ years of experience in a Scrum Master role or with managing teams to meet stakeholder objectives
Experience with both Scrum and Kanban methodologies
Experience with JIRA and Confluence
Experience with Microsoft Suite, including Outlook, Teams, and PowerPoint
Experience with teaching technical teams the basic Agile framework concepts
Experience creating solutions within a collaborative, cross-functional team environment
Secret clearance
Bachelor's degree
Scrum Master Certification
Nice If You Have:
Experience using Jira Advanced plans
Experience conducting a Program Increment (PI) Planning Event
Experience with the DoD, JADC2, Joint Staff, or combatant Commands
Experience with the military
Experience in software development
Possession of excellent oral and written communication skills
TS/SCI clearance
Master’s degree
SAFe Certification

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $60,400.00 to $137,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
