Description:You will be an FPGA Engineer at Lockheed Martin, responsible for performing FPGA detailed design, simulation, and integration to support the HWIL Center of Excellence Team. Our team is looking for a talented engineer to join our team and contribute to the development of cutting-edge technologies.
What You Will Be Doing
As an FPGA Engineer, you will be responsible for capturing and deriving requirements, performing FPGA detailed design, simulation, and integration to support the development of frequency domain convolution, Digital RF Memory (DRFM) signal modulation capabilities, and high data rate processing and communication in FPGAs. Your responsibilities will include:
• Defining FPGA architecture
• Developing SystemVerilog programmable logic
• Developing interfaces to ancillary HWIL HW
• Integrating, testing, verifying, and validating multiple subsystems
• Coordinating and supporting design assurance reviews
• Incorporating new capabilities and upgrading existing HWIL to new devices on new hardware

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must have a Secret clearance with investigation or CV date within 5 years.
Basic Qualifications:
- HDL programming experience with VHDL, Verilog, and/or System Verilog
- Experience in Hardware-Software Integration and Validation
- Familiarity with FPGA toolsets (Vivado and Vitis strongly preferred)
- Experience with electronics design and troubleshooting activities
- Experience Integrating HW and SW
- Active Secret Clearance with most recent investigation in the last 5 years
Desired Skills:
- Experience with management of Configuration Control (GitLab preferred)
- Experience with Vivado and Vitis FPGA toolsets
- Experience with UVM
- Experience working with HWIL systems
- Experience working with RFSoC and Versal FPGAs
- Experience with C/C++ programming
- Experience with troubleshooting and debugging with board-level testing and FPGA validation
- Experience in ASIC / FPGA life cycle (architecture, design, simulation, verification, validation, integration & test)
- Expert programming Field Programmable Gate Arrays (FPGA) or Complex Programmable Logic Devices (CPLD)
- Comfortable using digital oscilloscopes, power meters, and other test equipment
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
