The Payment Services Lead is primarily responsible for providing oversight to a team of Payment Services Representatives, as well as, assisting with training and day to day monitoring of operations within the team. The lead must be proficient in completing the duties of the Payment Services Representative, as their duties include supporting the Supervisor by assigning work and assessing performance in partnership with leadership.
The Payment Services Lead must possess strong customer service skills, excellent working knowledge of cash applications, knowledge of conflict resolution, work prioritization, and experience training employees. Strong organizational skills required. Knowledge of cash application includes, but not limited to, cash application, credit card transactions and accounts receivable.
What you will do
- Provide support to a team of Payment Services representatives, to include monitoring of day to day department operations, training, and daily work assignments. Participate in hiring process in partnership with Supervisor.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Representatives to resolve customer issues and concerns
- Maintain accurate records of customer payment history
- Partner closely with Outside Sales Representatives and Pro Solutions Center
- Submit regular reports on the status of unpaid accounts and any repayment progress
- Cash application for “exception items that were not auto processed by our High Radius program
- Lead reconciliation process of overpayments, misapplications, and unapplied cash
- Assist Supervisor with completing bad debt write off process
- Complete administrative duties, in the absence of Supervisor
- Perform Payment Services Representatives duties
- Special projects, as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- 5 years’ experience in cash applications role
- 2 years’ lien experience
- 1 year training as a peer mentor
- Experience working with Trinity resolution and ZenDesk
- Experience with high workload of data entry, including 10-key by touch
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
- Experience working with ERP system, Infor SXe
- Experience working with online payments platform required, such as Bill Trust
