The summer internship program begins with orientation on May 27th and concludes on August 1st . All internships are paid opportunities All internships are paid opportunities. This role has potential for conversion into a Manager Enterprise Strategy role for those that successfully complete their internship and required education. And qualified interns will be eligible for Lowe's housing benefit.
Enterprise Strategy
Lowe’s Enterprise Strategy team is a diverse and passionate team of individuals coming from investment banking, consulting, and industry backgrounds. This team is helping deliver results – which include growing market share, growing across digital channels, and growing our top line revenue. This team and role is uniquely positioned to define the future vision of what the home can be and the role of a retailer in connecting the customer to the place where they increasingly spend time.
The MBA Enterprise Strategy Intern will work directly within the Strategy team and with leaders from the business on a high priority strategic initiatives. Enterprise Strategy supports the development and execution of the company's organic and inorganic growth and performance improvement strategies. This role will be highly visible at the top levels of the organization, involve presenting to senior leaders and supporting the development and execution of the top strategic growth efforts at Lowe’s. This position requires a strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial spirit that can support defining and communicating Lowe’s strategies, ensuring focus, alignment, and execution of the highest priority initiatives.
Areas of Learning
Drive a priority strategic initiative: This individual will be expected to support all aspects of a typical Enterprise Strategy project. These projects will most often be early-stage efforts to assess a new business model or transformation of Lowe’s business, with the goal of supporting Lowe’s Total Home strategy and driving market share gains.
Deliver meaningful insights and recommendations: This individual will be expected to conduct key qualitative (e.g., strategy development, expert interviews, competitive benchmarking) and quantitative (e.g., market share, opportunity sizing) analyses. A key component of this work will be translating these analyses into key trends and actionable insights around customer, competition and market related to the retail and home improvement and creating presentations with actionable recommendations for review and approval by Lowe’s executives.
Develop strong internal relationships: This individual will be expected to cultivate, develop, and maintain relationships with key internal stakeholders, as a full-time individual in this role will serve as a thought partner for Lowe’s leaders.

Bachelor’s degree in Management, Business Administration, Economics, or a similar field
3+ years’ experience in consulting, investment banking, private equity, corporate development, corporate strategy, or related role
