What You Will Be Doing:. Your impact as a Staff Subcontract Manager will resonate across short- and long-term business imperatives, challenging traditional approaches and setting new standards for procurement excellence. You may find yourself contributing to the following:
Key Responsibilities• Lead raw material procurement initiatives, ensuring compliance with DoD standards and alignment with Lockheed Martin’s strategic objectives.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including subject matter experts, mills, and distributors, to optimize raw material sourcing strategies.
• Identify and mitigate risks in the raw material supply chain to support current and future program needs.
• Drive innovative approaches to procurement processes, challenging legacy systems to reduce costs and enhance efficiency.
• Manage and cultivate relationships with key industry partners to secure sustainable supply chains for aluminum, titanium, steel, and other critical materials.
• Influence core business imperatives by improving processes, identifying opportunities for cost savings, and ensuring alignment with Lockheed Martin’s mission to support the warfighter.

• Expertise in aluminum, titanium, and/or steel at the raw material level.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
Desired Skills:• Procurement experience, particularly in a regulated environment.
• Experience working within the Department of Defense (DoD) or related industries.
• Technical degree (engineering, materials science, or related field preferred).

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
