KBR is seeking a Deputy Integrated Project Team (IPT) Lead for our Sustainment team at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado Springs, CO.
We are looking for an innovative, creative, and highly motivated individual to support MILSATCOM and NC3 Program Offices, managing a diverse set of strategic and tactical space systems and infrastructure. As the Deputy IPT Lead, you will lead a high-functioning, high-performing, diversified team of over 80+ personnel to providing engineering and programmatic support to the US Air Force (USAF) and US Space Force (USSF) in support of the Joint and Allied warfighting community.

Responsibilities include:
- Provide technical and project leadership for the Sustainment IPT
- Develop and manage overall tasking associated with the Sustainment IPT, including the yearly development of the Technical Content Matrix (TCM), updates or changes against the TCM, and proposals for changes against the technical baseline
- Support the Director in Control Account Manager (CAM) duties for the Sustainment IPT, including forecasting, planning, budgeting of staff resources, Other Direct Costs (ODC), and travel expenses
- Coordinate with subcontractor leads for staffing, performance management, and cost/hours
- Manage multiple technical areas including systems engineering, systems integration, test & evaluation, life-cycle logistics, software application development and futures analysis for multiple programs currently in sustainment and new capabilities due to transition to operations in the out-years
- Provide organizational and performance management for a diverse team of 80+ personnel, including direct supervisory responsibilities for project leads
- Develop and brief reports and status to government and corporate counterparts, leadership, and stakeholders
- Directly support the recruiting and staffing efforts for the Sustainment IPT, including developing requisitions, screening and interviewing candidates, and managing the capture, hire and on-boarding process

Required Qualifications:
- US Citizenship and a DoD SECRET Security Clearance are required for the position
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university in engineering, computer science, computer systems or related technical field; will also accept a similar degree in product support, logistics or management
- 15+ years overall applicable experience (systems engineering, systems integration, test & evaluation, life-cycle logistics, and/or application software development)
- 20+ years in air and space weapons systems
- Experience with working in a highly competitive multi-contractor environment
- Demonstrated leadership of sustainment organizations in the following areas: test and evaluation, systems engineering, systems integration, test & evaluation, life-cycle logistics, and software application development and/or program management
- Demonstrated project leadership for planning staff, including resource loading and budgeting
- Demonstrated supervisory ability, including performance management and providing feedback and evaluations
- Demonstrated ability in recruiting, staffing, and retention
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate effectively with Government and industry stakeholders
- Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate ideas, recommendations, and options
- Possess strong interpersonal and collaboration skills
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma principles
- Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project and Word)
Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40
Basic Compensation: $ 175,000 to $190,000. This range is for the Colorado Springs area only
The offered rate will be based on the selected candidate’s knowledge, skills, abilities and/or experience and in consideration of internal parity.
Additional Compensation:
KBR may offer bonuses, commissions, or other forms of compensation to certain job titles or levels, per internal policy or contractual designation. Additional compensation may be in the form of sign on bonus, relocation benefits, short term incentives, long term incentives, or discretionary payments for exceptional performance.
