Job Overview & Responsibilities
The Inventory Planning and Control Leader 5 is responsible for the planning and control of inventory across the enterprise which consists of distribution centers, warehouses and factory mixing points to meet sales and distribution demand.
Analyzes inventory levels, material positioning and planned production schedules. Coordinates with production planning and warehouse personnel to ensure appropriate routing, scheduling and storing of goods.
Additional responsibilities include managing resources within defined budget, developing and implementing strategic process improvement as well as leading continuous improvement projects.
This position requires broad cross-functional knowledge along with specific technical knowledge related to multiple related job areas.
Demand/Material Planning:
- To consist of inventory monitoring of on-hand supply, inbound material and internal fabrication WIP vs. ERP Demand.
- Timely issuance of material in alignment with program requirements and shop floor capacity.
- Controls Inventory Management, Material Issue, Material Cost Transfer.
Production Control:
- Monitor work order progress & constraints to meet schedule demands.
- Coordination of tactical level tasks and issue resolution.
- Coordinates kit delivery with Material Management.
Material Management:
- Executes receipts, timely kitting of hardware to support factory work order starts.
- Material handling, material movement and other move orders.
- Processing Shipping transactions.
- Cycle Counts and material reconciliation.
Required Education
Bachelor
Required Years of Experience
Minimum of 8 years of related work experience
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with 8 years direct experience or an additional 4 years’ experience in lieu of Bachelor’s degree.
- Experience in Material Management and team integration.
- Experience in leadership or Supervisory role.
- Experience with SAP and MRP elements.
Preferred Qualifications
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
- Demonstrated excellent written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrated experience conceptualizing and implementing process innovations that improve value stream efficiency, effectiveness and reliability.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise independent judgment to make sound decisions effectively.
- Ability to establish/maintain an atmosphere of trust with customers, external suppliers and internal business partners.
- Experience with business risks associated with process change and the ability to make sound recommendations to management.
