The candidate for this role shall be well-versed in data systems with a key focus on Tableau experience and database management. Additionally, this position will provide mentorship to many organizational projects by sharing best practices and knowledge around continuous improvement tools and methodologies, project management, and team leadership. This individual must be able to quickly understand the business to recommend improved, strategic and sustainable solutions as well as identify further opportunities for improvement. This role partners closely with leadership and requires high proficiency in clear communication, navigating political landscapes, change management, and the ability to effectively influence with limited authority.
- The main responsibility of this position will be to serve as the data systems expert for the team. This will include managing Tableau dashboards, project tracking tools, websites, and databases for the Performance Excellence organization within Operations.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and objectives. Designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable data pipelines and architectures. Developing efficient ETL processes for data extraction, transformation, and loading. Ensuring data quality and integrity through robust validation and monitoring mechanisms. Supporting morning data runs to provide critical production reports.
- In addition to data systems management, this position will serve as an Operations Excellence Team (OET) business partner for a variety of continuous improvement teams at Lockheed Martin Space. This role requires great communication skills, project management experience, continuous improvement experience.
- Position will work with all aspects of Operations and Space Enterprise to clearly support defining projects, business impacts, ROI, communication and closure of initiatives and drive metrics for measuring business improvements using Lean & Six Sigma methodologies, and business processes management principles.
- Effectively engage Operations Excellence Team (OET) members across the Operations organization to foster business transformation. Work with leadership to coordinate the appropriate human and operational resources.
- Track status of all impacting projects in the organization and provide visibility to management in a powerful and consistent manner. Introduce credible methods to improve clarity and effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Experienced in design or development of enterprise data solutions, applications, and integrations.
Experience designing Tableau dashboards.

- Knowledge of modern enterprise data architectures, design patterns, data warehousing, and data toolsets and the ability to apply them

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate:
The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $73,500 - $140,900. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
