This position will be remote but will expected to cover and live within the geography of Southern IL and MO.
Job Summary:
The Field Service Representative provides system level technical support to our external customers for American Standard, Trane and Ameristar residential products sold through the RS channel.
Responsibilities:
- Telephone, email and jobsite HVAC system level support with deeper knowledge at the specific product level
- Support Channel Partners and Field Service Representatives on technical issue resolution
- Develop and provide training for both new and existing Field Service Reps to promote their self-sufficiency
- Interface with internal organization through cross-functional quality forums and teams
- Field site visits to address quality issues
- Documentation of field reported issues
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3 years of field experience serving in a Field Service Representative role
- Senior level field technician with a minmum of 5 years experience.
- Experience can be offset by higher level technical degree (BS) in Engineering related field and (2) years HVAC experience
Key Competencies:
- Detail oriented and organized, able to coordinate workload
- Strong ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems over the phone
- Strong knowledge of HVAC system operation
- Strong knowledge of Comfort Controls/Zoning application, operation, and troubleshooting
- Must be a strong team player, self-starter and flexible to varying work assignments
- Well-developed verbal, listening, and written communication skills required
- Personal computer competence and data entry with MS Office products required
- Must be customer focused
- Have the ability to make quality decisions
- Has to be able to manage time wisely
