Job Summary：
- Utilizes plans, specifications, and knowledge of industry to analyze project needs and compiles detailed cost estimates
- Responsible for creating cost estimates consisting of materials, sub-contractors, purchased equipment, labor, and other construction-related activities to assist Account Managers in bidding on or determining price of project.
- Responsible for ensuring take-off accuracy by verifying quantity, size, configuration, voltage, options, etc. of Trane equipment and represented products.
- Responsible for identifying possible cost saving opportunities and/or risk items that will occur on various projects.
- Based on request for proposal (RFP) data provided, responsible for requesting pricing and verifying scope accuracy from third party modifiers and buy/sell vendors.
- Participates in pre-bid meetings with Account Managers to review scope, strategy and pricing as required.
- Develops detailed equipment submittals from plans, specifications and addenda and communicates any discrepancies or scope concerns to Account Manager.
- Provides like for like equipment selections, pricing, scope and submittals upon request for replacement opportunities.
- Responsible for relaying any discrepancies such as weight, dimensions, electrical and performance to Account Manager.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or two (2) years of experience as a Trane Estimator or related field.
