Responsibilities:

Serve as our global subject matter expert in product stewardship, including regulatory compliance activities such as US: EPA/TSCA, Canada: CEPA, EU: REACH & CLP, conflict minerals and other country-specific chemical registration.

Develop, implement, and manage our global product stewardship program, which includes strategy, policies, standards, operating procedures, and management system to ensure compliance with global regulations and guidelines

Serve as chair on our companies Product Compliance Governance Council

Monitor the global regulatory landscape for new or proposed legislation that could impact our supply chain and our ability to manufacture, distribute, and import or export our products in the global market.

Communicate and collaborate closely with key internal partners such as Product management, innovation, legal, procurement, SBU engineering leadership, and key external stakeholders such as customers, key suppliers, trade organizations, regulatory agencies and non-governmental organizations (NGO's).

React to quickly assess the impact of new or proposed legislation to our supply chain and our ability to manufacture, distribute and import or export our products in the global market.

Develop and maintain a centralized listed of prohibited substances by country and region with cross references to the specific regulations.

Maintain product composition and regulatory information that supports a new reporting process to allow SBUs to complete customer surveys and data requests where Trane Technologies as a supplier is required to certify compliance with prohibited substance standards.

Collaborate with the business and other functions to support implementation of global product stewardship strategy, policies, standards, programs and operating procedures.
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in chemistry, biology, engineering, or related science discipline.

Minimum of 8-10 years experience in regulatory affairs, product safety, product stewardship or product compliance.

Strong chemistry background coupled with extensive knowledge and understanding of global regulations impacting banned and restricted substances particularly under US: EPA TSCA, Canada: CEPA, EU: REACH & EFSA Etc.

Experience developing, implementing, and improving business processes and practices
This position has a preference to fill in Davidson, NC but we may be open to remote in some cases.
