Description:Join our team as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the Machining Operations Center/Manufacturing Engineering Team. Our team is responsible for creating and improving manufacturing strategies for ultraprecision CNC machined. Our team plays a crucial role in developing and implementing solutions for technical and organizational challenges.
What You Will Be Doing As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer your focus will be on driving solutions, your responsibilities will include:
• Deliver verbal and written status reports, highlighting project milestones and progress.
• Communicate project risks, solutions, and schedule impacts to stakeholders
• Prioritize tasks to ensure the team is progressing in the right direction
• Represent the team in programmatic reviews and status meetings
• Assist in the development of proposals
• Create/update work instructions, mfg. sketches, and other shop floor documentation to support production needs.
• Coordinate shopfloor support as necessary to resolve technical and manufacturing issues.
• Organize discussions and approaches to Root Cause analysis of component non-conformances and ensure implementation of effective Corrective Action.
• Monitor and report on quality, schedule, and cost performance of assigned projects/programs.

Basic Qualifications:• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or STEM related discipline
• Effective project management.
• Strong communication and presentation skills (both written and verbal)
• Experience working with cross-functional groups
• Demonstrated ability to take initiative to solve problems and issues as they arise
• Experience with data analytics.
• Working knowledge of Lean Six Sigma tools
• Experience with Root Cause Corrective Action tools
• Understanding of CNC machining
• Understanding of Computer Aided (CAD)
• Experience interpreting and applying Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T) interpretation skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen and have the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Security Clearance.
Desired Skills:• Proficient in utilizing Computer Aided (CAD)
• Experience using precision measuring tools, gauges, and equipment.
• General understanding of Mil-Spec special processes (heat treatment, chem-film, anodize, passivation, organic coatings, etc.).
• Familiarity with ISO9000 and AS9100 industry standards, and common military specifications.
• SAP and Apriso experience
• Windchill PLM
• Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification
• Proposal development experience

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
