Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Bartender to join our dynamic team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, maintaining the bar area, and ensuring a memorable experience for our guests.
Duties
- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages according to standard recipes.
- Engage with customers, providing recommendations and ensuring satisfaction with their drink selections.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Handle cash transactions accurately using the POS system, ensuring proper cash handling procedures are followed.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in ordering supplies as needed to ensure the bar is well-stocked.
- Adhere to all food handling and safety regulations while serving drinks.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to coordinate food service when necessary.
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure timely service without compromising quality.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the food industry, preferably in a bartending or fine dining environment.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with guests.
- Knowledge of sales techniques and ability to upsell menu items effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems for processing orders and payments.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and making change.
- Excellent time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks during peak hours.
- Food handling certification is preferred but not required; willingness to obtain is essential.
