We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Microsoft Project Scheduler to support the development, review, and maintenance of integrated schedules for complex tactical engineering efforts. The ideal candidate will facilitate Microsoft Project-based scheduling operations for a wide portfolio of tactical design and development efforts, ensuring effective timeline management across multiple teams and projects.
- Develop, document, maintain, and analyze multiple project sub-schedules using Microsoft Project.
- Collaborate with project leadership, engineers, and key stakeholders to create realistic and executable schedules that align with program goals, milestones, and resource availability.
- Act as a facilitator throughout the schedule development process and the lifecycle of engineering projects, engaging with internal and external stakeholders to ensure all schedule elements are aligned with project requirements.
- Foster communication among multidisciplinary teams to track and review schedule progress, adjusting as necessary to ensure timely deliverables.
- Perform critical path analysis and variance analysis, conducting schedule risk assessments to proactively address potential delays or issues.
- Prepare, update, and present clear and concise schedule reports, documentation, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders at various levels of the organization.
- Provide regular updates on schedule performance, progress, and risks, and facilitate decision-making through well-documented schedule forecasts.
- Work closely with project leadership to ensure that schedules are synchronized with overall project milestones, resource planning, and budget management.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams, including engineering, procurement, and quality assurance, to ensure timely delivery of milestones and project objectives.
Qualifications
- At least one year of experience in project schedule development using industry-standard scheduling tools, such as Microsoft Project or Primavera P6.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with strong knowledge of Excel for schedule analysis, reporting, and data visualization.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Project.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to effectively present and explain complex schedule data to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Temporary contract - tentative dates March 2025 through October 2025.
