Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires excellent customer service skills, a strong attention to detail, and the ability to operate delivery vehicles, including box trucks.
Responsibilities
- Drive delivery vehicles to transport goods to designated locations efficiently and safely.
- Load and unload products, ensuring proper handling and care of items during transit.
- Operate pallet jacks and other equipment as needed for loading and unloading deliveries.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery confirmations and any discrepancies.
- Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients during deliveries.
- Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety standards are met.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Assist in moving items as necessary, ensuring all deliveries are completed in a timely manner.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
- Experience in commercial driving or as a delivery driver is preferred.
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients.
- Experience using pallet jacks or similar equipment for loading/unloading is desirable.
- Ability to lift heavy items (up to 150 pounds) and perform physical tasks associated with moving goods.
- Previous experience as a courier or in a similar role is an advantage.
