Company Profile
CEA Technologies Pty Limited, headquartered in Canberra, Australia, was established in 1983 with a goal of creating a center of excellence for the design and support of advanced electronic systems for the Australian Defence Force. From the outset, CEA Technologies was based on the provision of uncompromising design principles and robust through-life system support. CEA Technologies, Inc, is the U.S. subsidiary focused on support of these delivered systems to the U.S. Defense Community. The primary product is Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems with world-class Digital Beamforming capabilities.
CEA Technologies, Inc. is seeking a highly-skilled Radar Field Engineer to provide operation and maintenance support to Australian-built Active Electronically Scanned Array (AESA) radar systems that have been integrated into the Department of Defense framework. These systems employ industry-leading technologies and are very complex to support. We, CEA Technologies, Inc., being backed by the Australian government, retain sole domestic ownership of the Australian sensitive maintenance and support. Deployed at various test and training ranges in the U.S., they are a part of a large network that provides threat and signal emulation for pilot training and military equipment testing. Our Radar Field Engineer will be expected to gain and keep in-depth knowledge of the AESA systems and be able to provide expert advice to our own technicians about troubleshooting and maintenance. They will also be expected to interface with our customers on how best to use, operate, and maintain them.
Orientation/Training Expectations
The successful candidate will initially spend 90-120 days in orientation on the Nevada Test and Training Range and may travel to Point Mugu, CA and Ridgecrest, CA (Naval Air Warfare Center Weapons Division), Valparaiso, FL (Eglin Air Force Base), Fairbanks, AK (Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex), and/or Dayton, OH/Bloomington, IN (Wright-Patterson Air Force Base). After completion of orientation, their training may be complemented by extensive on-the-job training at our parent company’s facility in Canberra, Australia, for approximately 2-4 months to become knowledgeable of all aspects required to support these unique CEA systems. This training may take place anywhere within the first two years of employment and as either a single deployment or multiple deployments of shorter duration, depending on the employee’s ability to deploy.
When needed, the individual may be deployed to other U.S. ranges to support customer requirements. Longer term, the candidate may perform expanded engineering capabilities as more systems are delivered and the customer set increases.
