BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT PART-TIME INTERNSHIPMILITARY FRIENDLY PREFERRED - HOH SPONSORZermount Inc. is seeking a motivated Business Development Intern to join our proposal and business development (BD) team. This internship provides hands-on experience in identifying new business opportunities, supporting proposal development, and contributing to strategic growth initiatives. The intern will work closely with business development professionals, technical teams, and project managers to gain insight into government contracting and cybersecurity business development.Duties ResponsibilitiesAssist in identifying and qualifying new business opportunities in the cybersecurity and IT markets, including government and commercial sectors.Support the proposal and capture process, including research, documentation, and compliance tracking.Track opportunities and gather preliminary information to aid in Bid/No-Bid decisions.Assist in coordinating interactions with potential partners and stakeholders.Help track and maintain partnership documentation, including NDAs, TAs, and teaming agreements.Contribute to the continuous improvement of the company's capture and proposal development processes.Support solicitation response development efforts, including writing, reviewing, and editing content.Assist in the design and enhancement of proposal processes, including templates, compliance matrices, and schedules.Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitor analysis, and emerging opportunities.Maintain and update the boilerplate material library for proposal use.Support color review processes and help ensure high-quality proposal submissions.Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs), such as proposal success rates and revenue growth.Attend industry events, conferences, and meetings to network and identify new business opportunities.Assist in training and mentorship initiatives to develop BD skills among junior staff.Perform additional business development and administrative tasks as assigned.QualificationsCurrently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in business, Business Management, Communications, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Strong research and analytical skills with an interest in business development and cybersecurity.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.Interest in federal acquisition policies, contracting processes, and government procurement is a plus.Familiarity with proposal development, capture management, or technical writing is a plus.Experience with data analysis and report generation is beneficial.Weekend AvailabilityEducationCurrently pursuing or recently completed a bachelor's degree in business, Business Management, Communications, Cybersecurity, or a related field.Minimum GPA of 3.0.Interest in federal acquisition policies, contracting processes, and government procurement is a plus.Work LocationZermount Corporate Headquarters in Arlington, Virginia.Hours of OperationBusiness Hours: 9:00 am EST - 5:00 pm EST.
