This position performs safety and security job functions under direct supervision as assigned by management.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

Basic Qualifications
- US citizenship preferred
- Must possess a DOE “L” or "Q" clearance or an active DOD (secret or top secret) security clearance. Active DOE clearance preferred
- Ability to acquire and maintain any other specific special clearances/access requirements
- Current, valid driver’s license
Education/Experience
- High School Diploma or G.E.D
- Three (3) months of experience performing work in a public safety and/or security-related position
- Related experience preferred
Background Prerequisites
Must undergo and meet company standards for background and reference checks, controlled substance testing, and behavioral selection survey, in addition to any mandatory licensing requirements
Competencies (as demonstrated through experience, training, and/or testing)
- Must be capable of standing for extended periods of time (10 or more hours)
- Must be able to walk for extended periods of time
- Must be able to work under adverse weather conditions
- Must be able to climb ladders
- Must be able to work in high places (i.e. roofs)
- Must have eyesight that is correctable to a minimum of 20/40
- Must have hearing that is correctable to a minimum 35 decibels above average at frequencies of 500, 1000, and 2000 hertz
- Ability to maintain alertness
- Must be willing to work day or night shift
WORKING CONDITIONS (Physical/Mental Demands)

- Maintaining composure in dealing with authorities, executives, clients, staff and the public, occasionally under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations
- May be exposed to stressful situations, such as challenging individuals who are in or approaching an unauthorized area
- May be required to work overtime without advance notice
- Work in an ever-changing environment, which includes inside and outside assignments where one might be exposed to natural elements such as rain, ice, snow, and heat
- Potential exposure to equipment movement hazards, dangerous chemicals/solvents, or hazardous and radioactive materials if proper safety procedures are not followed
Wage for this position is $30/hour + $5.36 H&W

- The paid leave for full-time employees is from 80-160 hours / year based on longevity in the position, and sick leave is a minimum of 56 hours per year for a full-time employee.
