What does a successful Senior UI Engineer do at Fiserv?
As the Senior UI Engineer you will leverage your expertise in React and develop highly responsive and complex UIs for Fiserv's Marketplace Boarding platform.
Built to deliver innovation through simple, fast integrations, these platforms are used to onboard, configure and enable merchants across all acquisition channels and market segments for the Fiserv Merchants Solutions business. With multiple use-case specific UI flavors, as well as developer-friendly, flexible communication standards, unified APIs, and integrations with dozens of internal systems of record for payment products, settlement platforms and payment gateways, these platforms provide a low-friction onboarding journey for merchants to avail of Fiserv industry-leading payment processing and value-added products and services.
What you will do:
- Lead by example in designing, developing, and delivering a performant, well-abstracted front-end platform
- Drive frontend architecture discussions and technical breakdowns
- Partner closely with product and leadership to define our technical strategy
- Establish best practices, frameworks, and repeatable processes for the team to leverage when building product experiences
- Make effective tradeoffs considering business priorities, user experience, and a sustainable technical foundation
- Mentor and coach individual contributors to become the next generation of leaders at Fiserv
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of experience in React, Node.js, JavaScript, HTML, Bootstrap
- 5+ years of experience implementing complex full-stack solutions in large enterprise organizations
- 4+ years of experience in managing end-to-end delivery of assigned work by collaborating with other web developers within the team
- 2+ years of experience with Agile methodologies
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a relevant field or an equivalent combination of education, work or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Experience in Play Framework, Spring Boot framework
- Experience in payments industry and implementing high-volume transactions processing applications
- Experience using Quality and Security scan tools such as SonarQube, Fortify, and WebInspect
- Experience with SAML based single sign-on or other commonly used single sign-on mechanisms
