What does a successful Collector do at Fiserv?
As an Entry-Level Collections Specialist at Fiserv, you will be an integral part of our team, responsible for managing and resolving outstanding account balances with our clients. Your primary role will be to contact clients (either manually or via an automatic dialing system), outline the debt details, and negotiate payment arrangements, all while adhering to applicable regulations and company policies and procedures.
What you will do:
- Establish rapport with clients to effectively overcome objections and negotiate payment of debts.
- Record detailed notes on all discussions and actions in the collections system or database, confirming payment agreements and finalizing each call.
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of assigned cases.
- Accurately document and escalate any issues requiring resolution.
What you will need to have:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Up to 6 months of experience in collections and/or customer service.
- Previous experience working in a call center environment is preferred but not required.
What would be great to have:
- Knowledge of collections regulations, including the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA).
- Prior skip tracing experience.
Compensation:
- Hourly Pay: $20.00 per hour
