Description:We are seeking a Mid-Level Network Engineer to support the corporate-wide network infrastructure for Rotary Mission Systems in Syracuse, NY. As a Network Administrator, you will be responsible for providing operational, sustainment, remediation activities, and ensuring compliance with customer regulations and directives. You will work as part of the Digital Workplace and Communications Services (DWCS) team to apply established and innovative technologies to meet service and customer commitments.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Infrastructure Management: Design, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, VPN, etc.) to support Lockheed Martin's Rotary Mission Systems.
2. Network Sustainment and Remediation: Perform network sustainment, remediation, and troubleshooting of network components, including switches, firewalls, and network encryptors.
3. Network Updates and Maintenance: Support routine network updates, major upgrades, and continuous maintenance while ensuring compliance with internal and customer regulations.
4. Operational Support: Provide operational support to manage, control, and update network infrastructure per Lockheed Martin policies and procedures.
5. Incident Management: Address break/fix incidents promptly, ensuring minimal network downtime and service disruptions.
6. Project Support: Support project work and network initiatives through ServiceNow for network upgrades and configurations.
7. Collaboration: Collaborate with internal teams to meet customer commitments and ensure secure and reliable network performance.
Work Environment:
• This position will support facilities in Syracuse, Cazenovia, Rochester, and Niagara Falls.
• The role will also require support of the common core classified network infrastructure.
Requirements:
• Experience with network infrastructure management, including design, configuration, and troubleshooting of LAN, WAN, VPN, and other network components.
• Knowledge of network security principles and protocols, including firewalls, network encryptors, and access control lists.
• Familiarity with IT service management frameworks, such as ITIL.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work with internal teams and customers.

Basic Qualifications:Must have a DoD Secret Security Clearance.
Must possess a cybersecurity certification such as Security+ or CISSP.
Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 2 years of professional experience; or no experience required with a related Masters degree. Considered experienced, but still a learner.
Desired Skills:Hands-on experience with network troubleshooting and fault isolation.
Proficient with Cisco Layer 2 and Layer 3 switch platforms, Juniper firewalls, and Cisco VoIP technologies.
Strong knowledge of VLANs, Trunking, Static Routing, OSPF, Ether Channels, ACLs, QoS, TCP/IP, IP Subnetting, DHCP, DNS, Spanning Tree, 802.1x, ISE, and WLC.
Experience with network configuration, setup, and troubleshooting of TCP/IP-based networks.
Experience managing and maintaining IP addressing and subnetting in large-scale networks.
Experience with Project Management and supporting network projects through tools like ServiceNow.
Experience in network security, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, VPNs, and network encryptors.
Knowledge of compliance and regulatory requirements in a defense contracting environment.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Understanding of all audit and security requirements imposed by Defense Security

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $67,000 - $117,990. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
