The Lockheed Martin facility in Littleton, Colorado is seeking an Continuous Improvement Engineer.
This Continuous Improvement Engineer position will provide data-driven solutions that enable our company to optimize their schedules and costs.
This position requires collaboration with all functional groups through the entire product lifecycle. This candidate will have the opportunity to provide valuable solutions to multiple organizations and align program priorities.
The Performance Excellence team is known for delivering breakthrough capabilities and process improvement that continually redefine space flight. As our business grows, we are looking to expand our team with someone who can help us deliver breakthrough capabilities that redefine our production systems. This talented team member understands problem solving and advocates improvement at the grass roots level of organizations. This resource could also provide mentorship to many organizational projects by sharing best practices and knowledge around continuous improvement tools and methodologies, project management and team leadership. If you possess a passion for continuous improvement and are always looking for ways to reduce waste, improve human factors, and introduce technology to effect change, this may be the role for you.
This is an opportunity where you will:
• Apply Industrial Engineering and Continuous Improvement concepts and techniques to analyze business processes and reduce waste.
• Serve as Performance Excellence Continuous Improvement Engineer for variety of organizations at LM Space. This role requires great communication skills and project management experience.
• Work with all aspects of Operations and Space Enterprise to support defining projects, business impacts, ROI, communication and closure of initiatives and drive metrics for measuring business improvements using Lean & Six Sigma methodologies (A3), and business processes management principles.
• Interrogate data systems and look for opportunities to surface problems and drive improvements.
• Track status of all impacting projects in the organization and provide visibility to management in a powerful and consistent manner. Introduce credible methods to improve clarity and effectiveness.

Basic Qualifications:- Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education.
- Experience briefing status to upper-level management
- Excellence written and verbal communication skills
- Project management experience
- Experience leading continuous improvement projects
- Experience developing business cases and cost savings packages
Desired Skills:-7 years experience or more
-OET/PMT or self-directed work team experience
-Experience with SAP, Apriso, VECAMS, Tableau or similar
-Ability to multi-task, organize and prioritize

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Washington or Washington DC is $95,000 - $167,440. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
