What does a successful Technical Project Manager do at Fiserv?
The Technical Project Manager is responsible for driving simple to complex, high priority projects or component phases of larger Application Development programs. They are accountable for delivering projects on time, within budget, and within scope. This individual will lead and coordinate cross-functional, cross-departmental, and occasionally cross-company teams that are responsible for all aspects of a project, from initiation to closure.
What you will do:
- Ensure project methodologies, project delivery processes, and implementation management processes are followed
- Manage the project budget which includes understanding and validating estimates, cost variance tracking, and managing project resources effectively
- Provide project/program status i.e., Mission Critical Program Updates (weekly meeting) and Clarity Reporting
- Facilitate/manage project communications and stakeholder, client, and project team expectations
- Report on KPIs related to pipeline and execution portfolios, financials, and performance measures
- Support backlog and capacity management through the management of new project flow into development
- Maintain Clarity (PPM tool), JIRA Management, and publish appropriate reports to create transparency
What you will need to have:
- 6+ years of previous project management and/or relevant consulting experience
- 6+ years of experience in driving large scale change efforts with demonstrated knowledge in project management processes and methodologies
- 6+ years of experience with matrix management of cross-functional processes and teams
- 6+ years of experience of applying project management concepts to facilitate the achievement of business objectives ensuring predictable, consistent, and successful program delivery
- Current Fiserv experience
- Bachelor’s degree in business, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience
What would be great to have:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
- Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships and strategic partnerships with key stakeholders and customers across Fiserv to maximize program effectiveness
- Experience in banking, financial services, and/or software industries
- Familiarity with project management tools
