What does a successful Solutions Sales Consultant do?
As a Solutions Sales Consultant you will be charged with providing subject matter and technical expertise in sales opportunities to facilitate the discovery and capture of business needs and opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and analyzing solutions, building confidence and credibility through presentation and direct interaction.
What you will do:
- Work closely with the Sales team to provide full assistance in support of the successful achievement of sales targets while adhering to cost of sales objectives.
- Work closely with product specific solution consultants to understand the role their product may play in an opportunity.
- Illustrate the value of multiple integrated products across digital, merchant, issuing and banking landscapes to prospects in a compelling manner.
- Responsible for aligning the multiple integrated product capabilities (products and services) with client business requirements through a professional and ethical business approach which endorses Fiserv’s values.
- Participate in the development & completion of submitted RFI/RFP documents, bid coordination, prospect qualification, discovery and requirements gathering, product demonstrations, technical discussions, and design solution proposals.
- Represent Fiserv at Trade Show events and conferences to increase brand and solution visibility (company booth, panel discussions, industry speaker, etc.).
- Develop credibility and confidence with prospects through the sales lifecycle through the demonstration of expertise and strong engagement skills.
- Develop demonstration strategies to promote strategic features and capitalize on customer and market driven value propositions.
What you will need to have:
- 7+ years’ experience with financial institutions, embedded finance, or technology vendors servicing financial institutions (e.g. - wholesale banking, investment management and brokerage services along with related Software experience).
- 5+ years’ experience in sales, pre-sales, or implementation of software solutions
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field and/or equivalent combination of work, education, and military experience
What would be great to have:
- Experience with commercially available off-the-shelf reconciliation software is preferred
- Masters degree
